Coaching & hypnotherapy - Perth & online

Stop fighting yourself.
Feel safe being you.

For people who are tired of masking, people-pleasing and the voice in their head that never lets up. I help people end the exhausting fight with who they already are.

Sound familiar?

You look fine on the outside.
Inside, it's a full-time job.

None of that means there's something wrong with you. It usually means that somewhere along the way, being yourself stopped feeling safe - so you learned to monitor, edit and manage yourself instead. That worked, for a while. Now it's just exhausting.

Where this work goes

From fighting yourself to being on your own side

Most of the people I work with already understand their patterns. They have read the books, done the reflecting, maybe even tried therapy or coaching before. Understanding isn't their problem - they recognise what they do, but haven't been able to change it.

That's the gap this work is for. Not more insight. A different relationship with yourself: understanding and accepting your emotions, responding instead of reacting, trusting your own decisions, and moving forward with the kind of confidence that doesn't need everyone else's approval first.

"You do not need to become someone else. The work is learning that it can be safe to be seen, heard and fully yourself."

About Josh

I spent years mastering the art of not being myself

I grew up gay at a time when it felt taboo. I learned early that the safest version of me was the edited one - so I became a people-pleaser and a master of masking. Later, in corporate sales, I looked completely fine from the outside while quietly struggling on the inside.

My own journey out of that started in 2020. It eventually changed my life enough that I retrained so I could help other people do the same. I know this territory from the inside, not just from a textbook.

I now work with a combination of coaching, NLP, Timeline Therapy and clinical hypnotherapy - whatever actually serves the person in front of me.

  • Diploma of Clinical Hypnotherapy - Aspire Hypnotherapy, 2026
  • Master NLP Practitioner & Timeline Therapy - The Life Coaching College
  • Member of the NLPAA and GOAH associations
  • Professionally insured

How I work

You're not buying a technique

People don't need "coaching" or "hypnotherapy" - they need something in their life to actually change. So rather than selling one method, I draw on several, chosen around you:

  1. We look at how it's showing up. Where the fight with yourself plays out in your real life - work, relationships, the quiet moments.
  2. We name what's actually going on. Fear often dresses up as confusion, and exhaustion gets mislabelled as laziness. Getting the real thing out in the open is half the work.
  3. We work on it directly. Using coaching conversation, NLP, Timeline Therapy or hypnotherapy as it fits - and you take simple follow-up practices with you between sessions.

The founding group program

A small group, learning to be on their own side

My core offer is a small-group coaching program - weekly live sessions of 90 minutes to two hours, run online with in-person sessions in Perth. A small group of people working on the same fight: masking, people-pleasing, self-criticism, the fear of being seen.

There's something the group format gives you that one-to-one work can't: sitting with other people who get it, and discovering you don't have to perform there either.

Founding cohort

$1,500 AUD + GST

This is the first cohort, and the price reflects that. You get the full program at a founding rate - and in return, you help shape it and, if it helps you, share what changed. The price will rise for later groups.

Client stories

What changes when the fight stops

"The most significant change I've experienced is in the way I talk to myself. My self-talk has gone from negative to positive, and it has made a world of difference in how I perceive myself and my capabilities."

"Instead of reacting impulsively, I've learned to step back, allowing the emotions to pass before making decisions. This newfound self-control has empowered me and boosted my confidence."

- Nima, six months of coaching

"Josh's intuitiveness made me feel safe, heard and supported. I quickly felt the shift happening within myself."

"I find that I have had the motivation to follow through with projects that I have previously procrastinated over for ages due to insecurities."

Common questions

Things people ask before starting

Do I have to share everything in a group?

No. You choose what you share and when. The group exists so you can stop performing, not so you have a new audience to perform for. Every group agrees to confidentiality before we begin.

What is hypnotherapy actually like?

Not what the stage shows suggest. It's a deeply relaxed, focused state - you stay aware and in control the whole time. It simply makes it easier to work with the patterns that sit underneath conscious willpower, which is why insight alone often isn't enough.

Is this therapy?

No. Coaching and hypnotherapy support personal change, and many people use them alongside other support. They're not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment, and I'll say so honestly if I think you need something I don't offer.

Who is this for?

People who know something needs to change and are willing to do the work - they just haven't been able to shift it on their own. My own story means this space is explicitly LGBTQ+ friendly, and the work itself is for anyone who learned that being themselves wasn't safe.

What happens after I apply?

I read every application personally. If it looks like a fit, you'll get a link to book a free 20-minute intro call - no scripts, no pressure. We talk about where you're at, and whether this is the right next step for you. If it isn't, I'll tell you.
